Our Saved Babies

Here is our "Baby of the Month" and archives of babies from previous months.

Baby Anthony

Baby Anthony born 8/2/09

Each and every month I receive many emails from frightened pregnant women who have nowhere to go and are in danger of aborting their preborn babies. Just these past two days I have received three such emails. I don’t often hear back from these young women; so, I can only hope and pray that my advice and counsel will in some small way help them to decide to give birth to their preborn babies.  But once in a while I receive a very special email and a photo like the this one:

"Kathy, Thank you very much for your compassion and support. You not only helped me during pregnancy, during that very hard time, but also keeps helping Anthony and me now. I am praying for you, as many times recalling back the past and comparing it with its result I can’t stop but thanking God that I met you, and that you insisted that I don't abort Anthony and you didn't get angry and indifferent because of my mood changes, complaints and fears. During my pregnancy when I would think of abortion........Now I'm strong again, with not definite future plans, but I'm not weak as I was once.  PS: there are some funny pictures of Anthony taken yesterday. Thank you very much. God bless, Olga"

While Olga thanks me through God’s grace she is really thanking Him and you. Your geneous donations allow us to keep our www.lifecall.org and www.silentscream.org websites in existence and allows me to counsel and assist young woman like Olga and her precious “saved” baby Anthony (Born 8/2/09).

God bless you and thank you and your dear family for your generosity. Please keep praying for him and his mother and all of our Several Sources saved babies and their mothers ... past. present and future.

Baby Madison

Baby Madison born 1/21/10

February is one of the most difficult months at our shelters.  Why?  Simply because most of our moms do not hear from the father’s of their babies and the 14th comes and goes leaving many broken hearts.

The one thing that heals these wounds of feeling abandonment in the heart of a young mother is the thought of her baby whose life you have helped to save.  Last week one of the young mothers who now lives at our mother’s shelter found us through our shelter in Newark for homeless women called “Ladies Rest”. Ifeona gave birth on 1/21/10 to a beautiful baby girl named Madison, who weighed 5lbs 13oz.  [Below] is a very special thank you letter from this young mother in which she explains, “What I have learned during my stay [at Several Sources] is that I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me and for that reason I will never be alone and with so much of a heavy burden for God will always walk by my side.”

Her love for her baby, her persistence through being homeless and pregnant and finally being totally abandoned by the baby’s father was replaced, through your generosity, with hope and faith in God.

May Our Dear Lord bless you for your compassion and your generous gifts to provide a safe haven for her and her preborn child and all the other mothers and their babies at our Several Sources Shelters.

Without you and your support, our shelters would not exist for the many frightened young women who need us.   God bless you for caring so deeply. Thank you for being a part of our Several Sources family.

Dear Several Sources Benefactors,

In all honesty I never knew a place like this existed until I became pregnant and homeless at the same time.

I learned about Several Sources through Charlotte at the Several Sources Shelter in Newark called "Ladies Rest". I decided to come to Several Sources because more than likely it is one of the best foundations a person could support. Not only are innocent babies' lives being saved but young mothers or mothers who believe they can't do it by themselves are challenged to make their lives better through the support from the housemothers and through God.

What I have learned during my stay is that I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me. For that reason I will never be alone and with so much of a heavy burden for God will always walk by my side. In the end I will say to the benefactors, to continue to donate and be a strong supporter to the important message that Several Sources is trying to spread to the world. In my eyes this is a very important cause and without your support to Several Sources there would be more innocence lost than gained.

Kathy, Moms & babies

Thank you for being a blessed part of our Several Sources Family.  Our babies and their mothers depend totally on your giving throughout the Christmas holidays and to make it through these cold winter months too.  Your support to help shelter and feed families under our care, young unwed mothers and their little ones, means the very survival of precious preborn babies in our care.

This is a photo of our “saved” babies and their mothers staying at the Several Sources Shelters this past Christmas.  Know that we are all thanking God for you, your dear family and for your compassionate loving hearts.  Without you, there would be no Several Sources Shelters opening its doors to frightened, young pregnant women with nowhere else to turn in their most desperate hours of need.

Please keep us in prayer, as we have a waiting list for preborn babies and their mothers to come into the care of our Shelters, and resources are always stretched so very thin. Just today we are interviewing three new pregnant teenagers who are in need of shelter so that they can choose life for their preborn children.

Through your generous gifts, we will try to continue helping as many precious babies and mothers as we possibly can. Thank you for bringing the light of Christ’s love into the lives of our babies and their courageous young mothers.  God bless you and your loved ones for caring.
